FAQ

Can I drink chicory during pregnancy?

Chicory is often recommended for pregnant women because it is mild, rich in prebiotic fiber, and can help combat constipation while contributing to good hydration. Its consumption should be kept moderate (2 to 3 cups/day).

As every pregnancy is different, if you have any doubts, it is recommended to speak with a healthcare professional.

Does chicory contain gluten?

Our roasted chicory is gluten-free and contains only one ingredient: roasted chicory root.

What taste should I expect?

Chicory offers a sensory experience surprisingly close to coffee: notes of roasted hazelnut, caramel and chocolate , enhanced by a touch of sweet bitterness reminiscent of espresso. On the palate, its texture is round and deep , providing the same comfort as a cup of coffee, but without the caffeine.

How to prepare it?

Chicory is as easy to prepare as coffee, and adapts to your preferred method:

In espresso

Use your espresso machine as you would with coffee:

  • Measure the ground chicory into the filter holder.
  • Pack lightly then start the extraction.

In filter coffee or V60

  • Add 5 tablespoons (40g) of chicory to your filter.
  • Infuse with 500 ml of hot water.

Half-and-half in chicory coffee

  • Mix equal parts ground coffee and chicory.
  • Place everything in your espresso machine or French press and extract.

In soluble version

  • Place 1 to 2 teaspoons of instant chicory in a cup.
  • Pour hot or cold water.
  • Add milk or plant-based drink according to your taste.
